An ancient Mediterranean variety of Armenian Dark Green Cucumber that produces plenty of nice dark green coloring fruits that resemble (but are not) cucumbers.
They are also characterized as warm-season plants. They are planted in spring, after the risk of late frosts, in places full of sun and warmth.
Armenian Dark Green Cucumber make the best use of limited gardens and have the ability to grow on particularly poor soils and to overcome unnecessarily excessive heat.
They are harvested early in the morning and if they are not consumed directly sprayed with iced water so they can be kept in the fridge for several days.
They are sodium free and are a rich source of vitamin C.
