Cedar of Lebanon (Cedrus libani)

Cedar of Lebanon is a majestic, imposing evergreen coniferous tree originating from the southeastern side of the Mediterranean Basin. It often exceeds the height of 25 m, while the opening of its planar horizontal branches reaches up to 15 m. The shape of the Cedars of Lebanon is pyramidal at an early age, to make the coniferous mature almost umbrella-shape. Its leaves are blue-green and come out in bundles on short shoots. Cedars of Lebanon grows in a variety of soil types without problems as long as they drain well. Practically, it is not not be affected by pests and diseases, it is a tolerance coniferous tree in the drought as well as in high temperatures, while it is moderately  tolerant to the atmospheric pollution of the big cities. Thanks to these features, Cedars of Lebanon appropriate use to gardening and landscape architecture.
