The ZZ Plant or Zanzibar Gem (Zamioculcas zamiifolia), in addition to many names, has many graces. It is an attractive perennial, evergreen, tuberous plant, native to Southeast Africa and belongs to the family Araceae. It has compound leaves consisting of 6 to 8 leathery leaflets, with intense green color, which are slightly curved at the top, and which are carried on long and upright stems.
